Why RougeFleuriq
exists.
RougeFleuriq started to be the name of a business I was going to start for wedding floral design and table decorations. But as I thought about it, it needed to be more than that.
The same wall, every time
I've planned events most of my life. Birthdays, weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, the kind of occasions where every detail matters and every dollar has to stretch. And for years, whenever I got to the flowers, I hit the same wall.
I'd sit down at my laptop, search for wedding flower pricing, and find… nothing useful. Generic blog posts with "budget ranges." Florist websites with beautiful photography and zero prices. Calculator tools that let me enter "number of centerpieces" but couldn't tell me what a centerpiece actually costs. I'd spend hours researching, comparing, guessing, and still walk into every florist conversation without a real number in my head.
And when I turned to artificial flowers, it was even harder. I was driving to different stores, ordering samples online, holding stems up to the light, trying to compare quality and price side by side. Because with silk and faux florals, quality and pricing are everything, and there was no single place that gave you both. Just scattered products, no context, no comparison, no guidance.
Why pricing felt impossible
The sticker shock was real. Not just for me. I watched brides light up at a florist's portfolio, fall in love with a vision, and then quietly go pale when the quote arrived. Not because they couldn't afford it, but because they'd had no way to prepare. No frame of reference. No tool that could have said:
here's what this actually costs, here's what it looks like at three different budget levels, and here's where a beautiful silk alternative saves you $400 without anyone knowing the difference.
So, I did.
I spent over nine years building AI platforms and chatbots for one of the three largest telecommunications companies in the US. I know what technology can do. And I kept thinking: why hasn't anyone built this for brides?
So, I did.
RougeFleuriq is the tool I wish had existed every time I sat down to plan flowers for someone's most important day. It's not a florist. It's not a calculator.
